Some things happen so naturally that it is difficult to know when they really started.
At the beginning, we didn't even know each other but we figured out later that we experienced the same things, the things that one day brought us together in front of a wall. As if Totoro bumped into Lamu in Tekkon Concrete. And our lives, each as offbeat as the other, drew closer and closer until they merged into one. Passion, graffiti, music, friendship, freedom, and a carefree spirit are our daily incomes. The machine had already begun operating though we hadn't yet noticed. Koralie pushed me to exhibit my art while I encouraged her to use different techniques through computers. Our complementary personalities are obvious, and so was love!! Our love! The love that exists because we live off art, because we love Miyasaki's work, discovering new releases from Michel Gondry, organising an unforgettable party, dancing to Jaguar from Underground resistance, the love of dreaming without being passive, the love of the everyday fight, starting from nothing and getting somewhere, we don't know where, but as long as there's adrenaline, and it's as far away as possible, it doesn't matter...
Energy is our main weapon and acts like a magnet, driving us from travels to meetings to exhibitions, as we grow. Jealous people start to talk: apparently that's a good sign... We keep going, no time or energy to waste on this bullshit, time will tell where the truth is. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, nothing scares us. We act on instinct, and reflect on our actions later. PLASTIQUE is born without a business plan, from a chain of events. PLASTIQUE is the second phase of "plastic-art", it's aestheticism, form. We are the content and the tee-shirts, pop support, go perfectly with our approach. PLASTIQUE slowly and naturally becomes PlasTique-GraffiKtee, and as evolution is our style, we've now become METROPLASTIQUE !
